Reporting at Kathgodam, then drive to Dharchula:-
The adventure begins in Kathgodam, a serene foothill town and the gateway to the Himalayas. As the sun rises, a scenic drive whisks you away toward Dharchula, nestled on the banks of the Kali River, bordering Nepal.
The journey unfolds like a painting, with terraced fields, cascading waterfalls, and pine-covered mountains. The drive through the beautiful towns of Almora, Kausani, Bageshwar and Thal is mesmerizing, offering glimpses of Kumaon's pristine beauty. Upon reaching Dharchula by evening, you settle into your accommodation, soaking in the tranquil ambiance and preparing for the trek ahead. Briefing and registration to be completed by every member.
Dharchula to Dar by Car (40 Kms), Then Trek to Urthing (6Kms, 2550 Meters) – Into the Darma Valley
An early morning drive takes you to Dar, the starting point of your trek. The road winds through rugged mountain landscapes and over daring suspension bridges, giving you a taste of the adventure to come.
From Dar, the trek begins with a gentle trail, winding through dense forests, charming meadows, and the soothing company of the Dhauliganga River. As you walk, the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves create a natural symphony.
By afternoon, you reach Urthing, a picturesque hamlet surrounded by lush greenery and snow-dusted peaks. Rest under a star-studded sky, excited for what lies ahead. Overnight stay at camp.
Urthing to Nagling (13 Kms, 2852 Meters) – Villages and Valleys
After early breakfast, we start trek for Nagling, The trek from Urthing to Nagling unveils the heart of the Darma Valley, a treasure trove of Himalayan culture and beauty. The trail meanders through quaint villages, where terraced fields and stone houses paint a charming picture of Himalayan life.
As you ascend, the vistas expand, with the snow-clad peaks growing ever closer. The air feels crisp and pure, filling you with renewed energy. Arriving in Nagling, you’re greeted by the warmth of the local community and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains.
Nagling to Panchachuli Base Camp (13 Kms, 3600 Meters) – Meeting the Giants
Today marks the highlight of your trek as you head toward the Panchachuli Base Camp, situated at 13,975 ft. The trail ascends gently, offering a mix of alpine meadows, babbling streams, and towering deodars.
As you approach the base camp, the five majestic Panchachuli peaks rise into view, their snow-covered summits gleaming in the sunlight. The sight is nothing short of magical, leaving you spellbound by their grandeur.
At the base camp, you’re surrounded by serenity, with only the sound of the glacier-fed river and the rustle of the wind. Spend the evening capturing memories, soaking in the views, and reveling in the accomplishment of reaching this Himalayan gem.
Panchachuli Base Camp to Nagling – Retracing Beauty
After a mesmerizing sunrise at the base camp, it’s time to retrace your steps to Nagling. The descent feels lighter as the awe-inspiring views and the memories of the base camp continue to fill your heart.
The trek back offers a fresh perspective, with the changing light casting new hues on the landscapes you passed on the way up. By evening, you arrive at Nagling, ready to share your experiences over a hearty meal.
Nagling to Dar, Then Drive to Dharchula – Closing the Circle
Your final trekking day begins with a descent to Dar, where the car awaits to drive you back to Dharchula. The trail, though familiar, still enchants with its beauty.
Upon reaching Dharchula, the sense of achievement sinks in—you’ve explored a corner of the Himalayas that few have witnessed. The evening is spent reflecting on the journey and bidding farewell to the mountains that have become a part of your story.
The journey concludes with a drive back to Kathgodam, retracing the scenic route through Kumaon’s landscapes. The mountains slowly give way to the plains, leaving you with a heart full of memories and a soul refreshed by the beauty of the Panchachuli Base Camp and Darma Valley trek.
As you part ways with your fellow trekkers, the bonds forged during this adventure and the stories shared over campfires remain etched in your heart, a testament to the magic of the Himalayas. We will drop you to Kathgodam Railway Station, plan your journey plans after 8PM-9PM, our journey ends here with lots of sweet Himalayan Memories of Kumaon, take only memories, leave only footprints.

To book your trek, you need to pay 30% of the trek fees as advance. Rest 70% to be paid in cash when you reach the basecamp, to be collected by the team leader.

15 days before the trek date, 50% refund of the paid amount.
Cancellation less than 15days to the start date of the trek, no refund possible
In case Himalayan Passion cancels the trek or trip, full refund will be paid.
One has option to send another person on their behalf.
One has option to adjust the paid amount on any other trek, if a person cannot join the trek he/she paid for.
